Frequently Asked Questions

Is telehealth therapy effective?

YES!! Online therapy is supported by research and has been shown to be effective. Many people appreciate the convenience and comfort of attending sessions from home or on a work break — with a cup of coffee in hand, PJ’s on or from work on your lunch break, and zero commute. Telehealth therapy can provide the same meaningful connection and progress as in-person care!

How do I get started?

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but the process is straightforward. Reach out through my website or email me to inquire about setting up a consultation call. If we determine we are a good fit, we will set up our first appointment, I will send you the intake paperwork for you to complete before the first session, then we will meet via secure telehealth and begin exploring what’s bringing you in.

What makes you different?

What makes my approach different is the emphasis on building a steady, supportive therapeutic relationship. My goal isn’t just symptom management — it’s helping you process life experiences and grow into greater confidence and clarity. I want this to be a safe space for you to be seen, heard, and genuinely understood— that is my ultimate goal.

What can I expect in the first session?

Your first online therapy session is a space to begin sharing your story at your own pace. We’ll explore what’s been weighing on you, and discuss what you’re hoping to work toward. The goal is not to “solve everything” in one session, but to start building a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

How can therapy help?

In our work together, you can begin to feel more grounded and in control of your emotions, understand patterns that keep you feeling stuck, set boundaries without guilt, process emotions you’ve been holding in, reduce anxiety and overthinking, and feel more confident and connected to yourself!
